I already started saving for a new SRT Charger for the day that I do get married and have kids and I'm in more need of a tank rather than a Mustang.

Wow, nice car. You must either be a really hard working 16 YO or spoiled rotten. Either way I'm envious, enjoy.

ha ha! My dad is always saying that and he has a Z06!! These damn stupid parents buying these young kids these luxury/sports cars! But who knows, maybe he does work hard and makes cash, for a 16 yr old, I highly doubt that, but honestly..............WHO CARES!!??

Hey! I say more power to this kids parents. If they have the funds to purchase a 5.0 along with the monthly insurance premiums for their 16 year old son. Rock out.

I personally would never purchase my son a 420 HP sports car at 16 years of age but that's just me. I don't care how much money I have but that's just me. I just hope this OP has a good head on his shoulders because a parents worst nightmare is receiving a death notification of their child especially involved in a car accident. I'm not saying the OP is not a responsible driver but me personally would never ever ever purchase a 5.0 for my son or daughter if they were 16.

At that age children have not demonstrated long enough safe driving and good life decision making skills. Way too much temptation for a young new driver and too many bad things can happen.

Thanks! Oh and I wouldn't worry about me taking care of it! If anyone even breathes on the car, there's going to be trouble!

Wow 16! Good for you Bro! My first car was a Nissan Stanza that I bought from my dad for $1000.00. When I turned 18 i bought a 96 chevy z28 and I almost killed myself multiple times..... That was almost 20 years ago now but from what I remember the 14Mustang5.0 is a safer car to drive IMO.

Hey now, just because he doesn't work hard involving blue collar labor doesn't mean hard work as white collar labor means any less. Coming from someone who's had experience in both at high levels of demand,. Now wether he worked for it through grades or through labor shouldn't matter, aren't we all mustang fanatics here looking to learn and help everyday?

Hey, what do we know. The guy might have a 5.0 GPA

Seriously, I plan do do what I can to help my kids through college, maybe he is well on his way to locking up a serious scholarship. An education at a good school is more expensive than a new car.

Nothing against the dude, just saying that doing well in high school isn't a mindblowing feat. Buying a 16yo a $35,000 vehicle that statistics say they will tear up is mindblowing.

We've been through this in the past. Don't waste your time. Self entitlement is all the rage in America. I'm not targeting the kid specifically. There are far worse people. He seems to be modest and knows how lucky he is. On the other hand, it's normal for some of us to feel the way we do; given the amount of bull**** we deal with daily to afford these kinds of things. Either way, were gonna keep doing our thing and he's gonna keep doing his. He's a lucky kid. I did well in high school once and my dad got me a USA Fender Stratocaster. It was the greatest gift in the world. It wasn't a 40 000 dollar car, but it was something that meant a lot to me. To others, at that point in time, I may have seemed like a lucky son of a *****. Thinking that doing well in school was deserving of a 1200$ guitar would have netted me the same comments on some guitar forums. Life eh?
