Hey,

I absolutely love the way this system sounds on these cars. It has a really deep baritone sound that is not over powering yet still aggressive. In my opinion it is one of the nicest sounding systems and certainly a better, if not the best quality systems on the market today. The only reason they are not one of the most popular is because of the price in my opinion.

Companies like Roush and Flowmaster also have great systems on the market as well that sound nice and are made with quality construction, however they cost considerably less. However, price aside, it is hard to beat what you get from the Atak system.

I hope this helps, and if you have any other questions, feel free to get back in touch. Best of luck!

-Dan

So what you're saying is everything that the Borla offers is worth the price listed

I've got the touring axle backs on my '13 and love them. They are plenty loud enough for me and I'm glad I went with them over the Ataks.

I would have loved to go with the atak but it would have taken other goodies out if my cart. So I went with the outlaws and I'm happy

I have the RTR's from Magnaflow and wish I would have gone with the Borla ATAK's, or the S types

Is it better to buy axle back borla atak and the x pipe rather then buying the whole system, since the stock piping is already 2.75?

The Borla ATAK is the first mod I put on my 2012 Mustang GT. After 2 1/2 years with the exhaust, I still get goosebumps at full throttle. I get compliments from the least likely of people wherever I go. Spend the extra money and you will never regret it!

I was actually thinking of the Ataks with an off-road H pipe rather than the x pipes just to get a deeper sound to it

I wouldn't necessarily say that everything they offer is worth the price, however rather it is more of a toss up that everyone will have a different opinion on.

If the Borla systems were priced similarly to the Roush and Flowmaster systems, they would be flying off the shelves and be the most popular hands down. If you really value the sound they make and the high quality stainless steel they use in construction, than yes it may be worth ever penny they charge.

However, most of use are looking for a nice sounding system, that will last at least as long as we own the car and not spend a lot to get it. This is where the Flowmaster, Magnaflow, and Roush systems come into play.

Just about everyone would say Borla makes a great system, but whether they are worth every penny or not is certainly a toss up.

I hope this clarifies my position on these systems. Best of luck!

-Dan

I absolutely love my Ataks. Just be aware that they are definitely very loud...especially without cats! I will admit that they are not for everyone. Just know that they draw attention. You find urself trying to idle past any cops around!

I'm running the S-types and some Borla headers, and they're pretty darn loud. I can't even imagine the ATAKs. I bet they'll sound good.

(Here's just a little idea of how loud the S-types can be)

My thoughts...

I have the Flowmasters on my 2013 and I had them on my 2005.
Yes, they are cheap, they sound good, but the Drone.... WOW..
I am looking at the Corsa and the Borla.. because they only show the stock verses the aftermarket its hard to pick between the two.
If they werent over 600$ for either i would of pulled the trigger by now.

So don't go by just the price, Check into the sound and ask about the Drone.. otherwise you will be
Mine is awful at around 60MPH set on cruise..

They'll sound very similar to this video right here (I've watched my fair share of videos on the S-Types + heard them in person and have them on my 3V GT) WATCH IN HD:
