Raxiom Splash Screen

Anyone been successful in replacing the boot/splash screen on the raxiom navigation unit?

I found the link also but was unable to get the Raxiom unit to accept the new splash screen. Please let me know if you are successful.

Sorry this may be a little off topic, but how do you guys like the raxiom navigation? I'm thinking about getting one for my 2014 gt. Thanks

I like mine. For the price and ease of installation, its hard to beat.

Is the backup camera useful? Looking at it, without guide lines on the screen, I'm not sure it would even be useful. Granted one could always go old school and use their mirrors, but I'm asking more about whether its even useful to go to the trouble even wiring up that rear camera.

If you have Sync then it makes sense because it is the cheapest out there. If budget is not a consideration then get the kenwood with the maestro kit. You will get better sound, navigation, backup camera, and even EQ to adjust sound. Raxiom is just navigation but it uses your factory radio for the sound.

Wiring it up is easy once you route the wires. If it prevents you from running over a toddler then it is priceless. IMHO

I have quarter window louvers so its semi-useful. Not a game changer by any means.

Thanks for the input HPFury. I have considered the Kenwood option. I do have sync in my car and like that the raxiom had a factory look to it. Guess I have a little more research to do.

Same result I experienced. It's like the Raxiom startup is ignoring the normal boot sequence from the manufacturer.
