Need help with headers

Ok so I've been trying to decide what long tube headers to go with. I also want to run a catted mid pipe. So I'm looking for stainless steel longtube I have found a few that seem to get good reviews but I still need more help. Do you recommend a catted h pipe or x pipe? What is the performance and sound difference between the two?

X pipe will give you more Hp but you get a raspy sound I used to run x-pipe but I love the deep muscle car sounding rumble of the H pipe

I'd run the Kooks mid length to avoid any future o2 problems due to their location. Plus their catted x-pipes have the green cats that make emission testing less a hassle.

I run the Dynatech Long Tubes Headers with the Dynatech X Pipes and my GT sounds beastly but not raspy. Click image for larger version

I'm thinking of going with kooks but with a catted x. I already am running muffler deletes. So with no cats may be just too loud.

I'm running Borla XR-1 headers with their S-type catback system (which is an O/R X pipe). It's quite a bit louder than I thought it'd be but I like it. Granted there aren't any cats so yours won't be quite as noisy. I put the catback on last April/May-ish and just got the headers about a month ago.

(my buddy is driving, first time I'd heard the headers outside the car)

Hope these help. I installed both systems myself in the garage with jackstands and minimal hand tools, in case you had any questions or what have you.

The county I live in doesn't require emissions so I didn't bother with trying to get a catted X-pipe to go with the headers. The one at night was wide open, but yeah.. still pretty darn loud haha.

I was a little on the fence about it but a buddy at work said "if it's too loud.. you're too old"
