Long tube headers

Been thinking about getting a set of lt headers. What I didn't know was that they do not bolt up to my off-road mid pipe. I would need to get a shortened mid pipe. I know there is a bigger gain going with lt vs shorties but is it worth it since I already have a off-road mid pipe? Don't really wanna throw the money away that I already spent on my off-road mid pipe.

The gains with Long Tubes are at Higher RPMs. The Shorty Headers give you at lower RPMs. The Shorty might match up with your Mid Pipe as it is now. I also had that problem and had to buy a New mid pipe when I got my Long Tubes, but I'm never at RPMs that high to really get the Advantage. But with Shorty's, your local city driving is Fast. Unless you're at the Drag Strip, then I suggest the Shorty's to save yourself the money.

I have long tubes but I'm going with a blower which will add nice gains compared to shorties and a blower. so it depends on what you want. If it's just tone you really want then go with the shorties since you are already hooked up with the mid pipe.
