Warranty parts replacement

Hey guys, so I was reading through ford warranty book for my '14 GT, and it said that ford will replace certain maintenance items when necessary free of charge. These items include: wiper blades the first 6 months, and brake pads for the first 12 months.

Just wanted to check if anyone had their brake pads replaced for free from the dealership the first 12 months.

Thanks

They are just wiper blades and brake pads..... Buy them and do them yourself, they are cheap.

And you won't have the stealership having some lackey messing with your car.

Why pay for something that you can get for free? I don't care about the wiper blades but the brake pads are not cheap lol. Could get smth else for the money.

THIS! You really don't want some dealership novice messing with your car and screwing something up.

Because a warranty is meant for faulty or defective items. Are your brake pads prematurely wearing out? If so then by all means go get them replaced at the dealership, but if they aren't and you're just trying to get free brake pads, then do yourself a favor and re-evaluate your morals.

Dude I was surprised when I read that in the warranty book. I would never use the dealership for easy stuff like brakes or oil changes. My dad is a mechanic and I do most of my stuff with him.

The pads would have to be worn out. If you chew through a set of pads within a year and you aren't tracking the car, you're really beating the **** out of the car and that ain't smart.

Yea warranty will not cover wear able items after 12/12 being 12 months or 12k which ever 1st, but u cant just go in saying hey i want my free pads cuz there not going to do it there has to b a. Reason for it, clutches are the same way btw unless u can prove defect and or another item failure causing the damage to occur
