Thinking of upgrading to an 11-12 GT

So I can't seem to shake that 5.0 urge. With the 2015s coming out I'm thinking I will be able to get a good deal on a 11-12 GT. Is there anything about these years I should worry about? I remember reading something about the earlier 11s bleeding oil or something.

My 2011 don't leak a drop I love it.......the mt82s suck but can be modified to make shifting alot easier........I would make sure the shifting is good on the car your looking to purchase and then go for it best car I've purchased over the years

I'd recommend going with a 12. Gave Ford a year to fix a couple things. Otherwise, check for maintenance records and give err a good test drive to check the transmission. Check for aftermarket parts or at least signs that they have been previously installed. Though there is nothing wrong with modifying your car, if I'm buying one second hand I want it as virgin as possible.

I had a 2011 and lover it. Only went to 2013 because 2011 got totalled. Manual is sloppy but a bracket or short shifter and bracket made all the difference I need. Other than that loved it.

Ugh I'm currently in the same situation. I love my 6 and I only got it like 5 months ago but I catch myself on auto trader looking at 5.0s at least a once a week.

yea that's my case as well, I figure I might as well stop modding my sixxer and wait for a nice 5.0 to come along lol

I hear ya man. The only thing that's stopping me at the moment is I know I would take a few thousand dollar loss on the down payment I just made on the 6.

I'd wait. You'll loose a good deal of money trading in a car only two months old. Depreciation is a *****. I just traded a car I bought new last year, and I took a beating. Besides, the 3.7 has a good deal of power and is a decent platform to mod from.
