Pulling out driving lights ?

I have a 2013 GT and I wanted to know what it takes to pull out the driving lights from the grille? I was thinking of doing them in yellow tint and it is way easier to do them when they are off the vehicle. I would like to just pull the light itself out of the grille without removing the whole grille.

You need to pull the bumper off. There are several bolts that can only be accessed with the bumper off.

It's not hard pulling the bumper off but there's just a bunch of screws on the bottom and in the wheel well and when you start pulling the bumper off watch for two wire harnesses that attach to the foglights and a third to the ambient air thermometer located on the driver side near the front lip on the bottom.

Wait, to get the 2 driving lights out of the grille you need to pull off the whole bumper? What the hell was Ford thinking on that one?

Why would there not just be a few bolts from behind the lights under the radiator shroud? Guess that would be to easy.

I'd leave them in place. I tinted my friend's foglights on his 2010 GT and it really was no trouble. As long as you can slide it in to place and have a small enough squeegee to get all the bubbles out, you're good to go.

Lol yeah that's what was going thru my mind when I was installing the billet grilles.

Perhaps the foglight grille design was designed by the same person who designed the cup holders in such a cumbersome location lol.
