replacing wiper blades

Went to autozone today to upgrade my wiper blades to bosch icons,1 is 22" the other 20". It was so hot outside I asked the sales rep. to install them, says where it connects to the arm just doesn't fit like ford has a new design, was disappointed. Was wondering if anybody relaced theirs yet? And what brand did you use?2013 boss.

I use Bosch, can't remember if they are icons though. Mine came with a couple adapters, one of which fit Ford's new wiper arm.

There are different types of wiper blades of the same size. Like a 22OE and a 22A are both 22" but have different connections, or one comes with adapters and one doesn't. I'll see if I can find the exact one I used.

22OE fits the top lock style wiper arms (which I believe we have) and 22A fits the hook arms according to the Bosch site's fitment guide.

It's not useless if you want to upgrade, what is wrong with trying to verify the right blades?

Hmm weird it does say the OEs fit the car. Take one off and bring it in and they should be able to tell what kind you need

I try to drive my Jeep in the rain but when I get stuck in the occasional precipitation the Mustang OE wipers suck! I've got to replace my OE wipers because one skips in the middle of the arms swing and it's finally torn. I need recommendation on an upgrade, I won't replace with more OE wipers unless I've exhausted all options!

I work In an auto parts store... Sounds like the guy didn't want to mess with the blades.... Almost all after market beam blades come with little adapters that will change to the new ford style attachment... I could have literally installed them in a matter of seconds after changing the adapters... All trico flex, trico neoform, and rain x will come with the correct adapters.

If you're into treating yourself and your Mustang...and you don't mind skipping those Monster energy drinks for a few weeks to help cover the cost.....
Subarus rally team uses these: yes, that's cost per each blade....
PIAA | 26" (650Mm) Forza Hybrid Silicone Wiper Blade #96065
Mustang would take 20 and 22" though.

probably had a lazy sales rep. I used to work at an autoparts store, and if i sold you wipers that didn't fit, I would still do what i can to set you up with the correct wipers, or a recommendation on where to go for the right ones. Definitely wouldn't send you off with more questions.

you should have the I&L right? theyre a bit tricky but i have fit plenty of those. Im sure there are bosch's that fit. but theres few brands. Your usually stuck with the expensive blades for that hook. Rain-x lattitudes should have the piece, among other bands.

Picked up the Rain X Latitudes this morning at Walmart. Popped them on, WAY better than OE. I guess I've got $32 invested in them - win! BTW, the little adapters came in the box, PITA to get on but...

I live in the rain here in WA and have great success with the OEM blades. Almost 4 years on the stock blades and they're just now showing signs of needing replacement. Have never had any aftermarket blades last that long. Going back to the dealer for fresh ones.
