I think you are better off with a tune.
I tested the Hypertech specific airaid tune on the dyno, and it showed that wiothout the tune I was running too rich. After I selected 'airaid without insert' it got almost perfect, and I got 5-10 more HP out of it, not to mention a slight improvement on gaz mileage over a 600 mile highway run. No bad for a canned tune, and it still has another 5 hp in it if I would go custom, according to the racing team who ran my dyno tests.
