I thought I had a water leak for the longest time from the same spot. Turned out it was just the water coming off my shoes when I would get into the car. I was positive it was a leak bc it happened every time the car got wet. I also have rubber floor mats so the water is much more noticeable than if there was carpet.

To test get a water house and point it at the base of the windshield. Get a friend to hold the hose and crawl inside to see where the water is coming from. Some people have had water leaks from the lower windshield not being sealed completely. In my research I didn't find much else info. Doesn't seem to be a common issue at all. Good luck!

There are 2 drains from the cowl under the wipers. They drain out behind each head on the firewall. They are soft rubber. You can reach with your hand (engine cold) and clear them with your finger.

Condensation drips from the AC condenser in that exact spot. Have you been using your AC a lot?

I don't think either the cowl drains or the AC condenser should be dripping inside the car, only outside.

My 2013GT did the same thing while it was parked at work and it rained. Did it once and never happened again.

Did u remove the sound tube? That is about where the hole in the firewall is. Maybe the grommet fell out, or was never installed when removing the tube?!

I wonder what is on the upper side of that bolt as it goes in straight up from inside under the dash and where by the windshield it would emerge.
