Sound tube mod.

Just got my new 14 gt. She's a little quiet. I plan on getting exhaust in the next couple months. But in the mean time, I heard about a way to make the in cabin sound louder by removing two foam plugs from the sound tube. Is this alright to do? I just want to make sure that the only purpose of the plugs is a sound damper. And that they don't serve any other purpose. Any help?

Thats all they do. I will tell you at least from my experience though depending on what you do with exhaust you may want them back so keep them around. I went with catless mid pipe and muffler deletes and I took the tube out to quiet the cabin after that.

Yeah, you wouldn't think that a couple simple foam plugs would make any difference at all but they change the volume night and day if you pull them out.

Delete the tube all together... Get a sound tube delete kit... Blowfish Racing is really nice...

What does the delete kit do? Would that not make it quieter?

It removes the sound tube all together... Makes the engine bay look a hell of a lot better, and is the way to roll...
