Master key Problem

Hi New to this forum. Lots of info here.
I bought a used gt and it only came with one key with the built in fob. I was playing with the controls and I hit MYKEY function and now Im governed to 80 mph and I cant get it off. I checked the manual and it talks about the master key.I went thru the functions and cannot find a place to remove the MYKEY. Would my key be the master key if it allowed it to turn on that function?
I bought a uncut key off ebay with the built in fob. Looks exactly like the key I have but new and uncut. I called the dealership and they want me to bring in the car and the key to get programmed and cut. Is that right?
Thanks

If you activated the mykey and the settings were already done by the previous owner you'll have to make a trip to the dealer to have it reset. As far as I know there is no way to disable it without the admin key, which sounds like is the key that you don't have.

after you get it programed by the dealer (yep they have a grip on you) buy another key and program that since you need two working keys to program another at least then they won't be able to grab your _____ again.

Sucks! I have the same problem.. Dealer told me $250 for the key and $60 to program. WTF kind of deal is that? that's like buying a tuner... which I did lol. With the tuner when it enters the processor it reset the volume control. So fixed that MyKey gayness and the speed limiter as well. I just put it to stock speed limit due to the drive shaft(Breaks at 130ish). The track apps and traction control button are still disabled and pisses me off. Im sure there is a way to get around it with a tuner but I dont have the skills needed. **** MYKEY!
