This conclusion came from me owning my 2011 3.7 which had factory 2:73 gears. Then I had installed 3:73 gears and the car was totally different in acceleration.

You could piece out the Hotchkis package for less than they are charging I think. $2100 and no struts and shocks is a horrible handling kit

Just because they're missing from the kit doesn't mean it's a horrible kit, just an incomplete one. (Hence why I said ALMOST everything).

As for piecing it out, that rarely works, but go for it.

The strut tower brace is not needed. GTs come with one and if this brace is higher so it can clear the Boss Manifold then yeah i guess its useable even if you don't have the Boss Manifold.

However I priced the parts out (minus the tower brace) and the total I came up with is $1,494. That's about $600 off doing it piecemeal.

A McDouble is a good tasting burger for $1.29 but is a horrible burger for a premium Big Mac price.

Same with this kit. It's not a bad kit at all but tack on an extra $600 or so then it becomes a horrible kit considering that for $600 you can buy shocks and struts.

And really? Piecing out parts rarely works? So... You have to get a CAI, headers, cat delete pipes/high flow cats, and a full catback system from the same company or else they won't work together?

Oh shiit I hope Hotchkis makes tires too cuz I wouldn't want to buy tires that won't work with my Hotchkis suspension package. Maybe I need to buy Hotchkis shoes too since it connects my foot to the pedals... I don't want my foot to not work well with the suspension by not having the optimal rubber grip of the sole just in case the extra G forces the Hotchkis setup can produce causes my foot to slip off the pedals during cornering.
