New V8 Owner!

Hey guys just wanted to introduce myself. I actually originally bought a 2014 V6 about a month ago but I am a police officer and had a idiot hit it during a pursuits. Anyway it was totaled and I upgraded to a 2014 GT wit Track Pack! This is my first 8 so any advice on first upgrade would be awsome... Thanks!Click image for larger version

Also, I'd say exhaust. It's a fun car to drive, but with just a simple axle back muffler swap, you'll unleash some of that tone and the car really comes alive. I sincerely stand by that recommendation.

I am actually between the Roush and or the GT500 axle back.... Not sure which one would improve the growl

I got the roush myself. The only people that seem to not like are those who think it's too loud and those who think that installing a popular after market exhaust is some form of conformity. You meet all sorts of people. I say they are both nice, but the roush has a really distinct aggressive tone to it. The rush that accompanies the incredible speeds this car will achieve is well suited for an axle back like the roush

Hell yeah man a cool cop. Props to you! I have roush and they're awesome when you stomp on it 1-4th it turns into racecar 😭. 5th-6th gear has no drone what so ever if your bearly on it cruising. Good luck with your future adventures and modding

New V8 Owner!

Flowmaster Outlaws! Deeper tone than the roush and $80 less. Also isn't raspy like the roush if you decide to go with an o/r midpipe.

I think you misread what I typed. Both sound great with stock mid pipe (flowmaster deeper and sounds better IMO) but if you switch to an o/r mid pipe then the roush becomes really raspy and loses it's tone.

Very common around here. You should join the NVMC if you haven't already.

First upgrade really never changes, no matter what you drive. If you've been around cars long enough you'll figure it out.

Stock air box is just fine. You're only gonna see a 2-3 hp gain from an aftermarket CAI.

Aftermarket CAI without a tune is bought practically for looks, and sound. Gains are minimal, if any, in real world driving.

You will experience gains with a CAI if your are heavily modded.
This is something people forget to mention.
If you have plans to stay NA and go for a all out build get the CAI.
