No trac control. I turn it off as soon as I start mine. Experiment with RPMs for burnouts and starts. Have fun, be safe, get to know your car.

Cheers,

G

7500 rpm, slide your foot off the clutch pedal in a leftward direction. Enjoy.

omg sidestepping your clutch at 7500 RPM will kill it so fast. How many times have you launched and how is your clutch holding up?

Yeah that too. That's a ton of power to put down all at once.

He is talking crap guys. He does not launch at 7500. After some of the questions he has been asking on here further shows what he really is.

FYI while most people race other people in cars compstall races against snails. Real snails not some metaphorical reference to slow drivers. So although to you and I, dumping the clutch at 7500 would result in a standstill burnout, its actually a really really exciting and close match in the snail world... 😜

4k and drop the clutch. I have full slicks though, and it dead hooks at the track. On the street in my Nitto NT05R's I have to feather the clutch regardless of RPM but 2500 and feather works well. Those Drag radials are crap. You can launch higher with a slick than 4k but i dont want to break anything.

Nt05r 's are far from crap. Well over 600 at the tires on nitrous here and they are perfectly fine on the street. You need to a dress your suspension bud.

Plenty of vettes pushing 800+ on 05r's for the street.

A full slick is all you want at the track on a manual, you will break more **** with a drag radial at the track vs a slick

Launching at 2500 is perfect for showing off without burning your clutch or tires. I got a 2013 5.0

With no tune torque management will kick in and create a nice bog off the line. I found that out the hard way when I tried it with sticky tires and just a 3000 rpm launch.

For sure, it really comes down to your tires. I have 600 to the wheels and NTO5R's are garbage, I dont care what vettes are running, get yourself some ET streets which is the only drag radial worth anything. And yes suspension should be first. Night and day with BMR lowers, upper control arm and mount, bmr panhard bar. Everyone should head to the track with a pair of slicks though so they can experience what this car can really do and what traction is supposed to be like. Will make you forget all about all wheel drive imports.

Ill give you that...from a roll they are not bad, but as a person that mainly races at the track, everything is about the launch and the 05rs just are not the best option for the price. Thats all i was saying is that there are far better options for the same price and for what is out there. Look at my car in my sig, the back tires are NT05Rs just not happy with them when I can dead hook at 3k at a street light with MT ET streets.

I meant the street for as far as drag radials go. I will not go to the track on drag radials. Only a full slick, axle tubes are welded

I went to type in "dead hook" in Google, because I thought maybe there would be a such thing as "live hook". If you type in "dead hook", the first thing that comes up is "dead hooker in a trunk".
