2013-2014 Supercharged 3.7 V6 vs. 5.0 T

2013-2014 Mustangs we are talking here. I'm sure this has been talked about before but I'm about to buy a Mustang which has been the car I've wanted ever since I could say "Mustang". I definitely want to mod immediately if I get the V6. I'm probably going to go the supercharger route rather than the turbocharger because I'm not going to be racing, but for some reason I want a car that just kicks my ***!

So which is better (horsepower, torque, daily driving, FEEL, potential in the short and long run.) Supercharged V6 or 5.0 GT.?

Let's pretend that the v6 already comes with a supercharger right out of the box.

5.0 all day long. Even with a SC, your 3.7 is going to be HP wise about what a 5.0 is with bolt ons. Add to the equation sound, and potential and it is a no-brainer in my book.

I knew it wouldn't take long for someone to bring up the sound haha. I was trying to block that of my mind.

By the way, I know the v6 engine is about 100lbs lighter than the V8, and it's easier to add HP rather than reduce weight.

I'm also not too concerned on the engine performance numbers, more like how it performs on the road. I want to have that evil laugh going every time I drive it.

Well go turbo then. Bc a procharged 3.7 will not give you a evil laugh. There is a reason every procharged 3.7 owner is going turbo or nitrous.

How is that? I know the Turbo is going to have more of an output, but I think I'd be more interested in the immediate reaction of a supercharger. I could be wrong though

the supercharger is a centi, not a tvs/ twin screw, so it will not be instant. Honestly where the 3.7 lacks is tq and a centrifugal is not known for tq. So your seat of the pants feel you want will not necessarily be there. Not like you think that is. With a turbo you could see 450HP and identical tq.

If you want horsepower and torque just get the GT. This shouldn't even be a question. On the other hand I guess it's also going to be what suits you.

I guess its only a question if you really cant afford the GT. But if your looking at supercharging the V6 just go GT man. I have 2013 GT with a whipple on it and I love the car more than my gf. Torque is ridiculous, it will make your friends just laugh cause how much they are thrown back in their seat from an amazing street car.

As people have said before, go with the GT. More potential, better sounding, and cost similar to SC v6
