How much HP can a stock 5.0 engine take?

Hey guys I've been using nitrous on my full bolt on 2013 GT for awhile and have been shooting a 100 shot. It dyno'd at 520 rwhp on a dyno jet. I'm glad to say I'm getting rid of the Juice and will be supercharging in the near future. When I do so at first I'll be at 10psi and an unknown hp as of now depending on which S/C I go with. I've heard that a bolt on engine with no changes to the rotating assembly can hand 600hp. I'm guessing when everyone says that they mean at the wheel because my 520 rwhp on nitrous was close to if not 600 at the crank. Anyways what's the most power y'all have put down on the stock engine and could use as a daily?

Rapinator bolted on Superman to a hamster wheel inside his engine bay lol

That or what was it like 300 shot nitrous at one point.

He's pretty stout in terms of build. You may want to consider doing internals first and then breaking in the engine before the SC upgrade.

Lol when the stock motor went it was pump gas and a 200 shot.

Yes it had a 300 on it for a verry short time.

Now it's built motor, heads, full exhaust, e85, boss mani etc lol.

I think you will be fine if you keep it at 600 or so, just depends really, tune etc.

But like Grabber said
I gave you my personal experience on where mine went.

Have a buddy's who went at 547 at 7 psi.

Then there is people with 750+ on stock motor.

Just as there is Bolton only cars blowing up

We are at 636.49rwhp on a stock motor. Redline @7200 / 8.2 psi. Datalogs look great, low timing and our AFR is right where it needs too be. We are probably going to add a torque booster to it. (wastegate & pulley)

I think what took my stock motor down was the initial hit of tq. Which was 650 at 3000 rpms on the 200 shot.

Wasn't that how you were going to get the forged internals? Your engine had to go first?

Yes, that way it was " broken" and my wife wouldn't get mad at dropping $6,000 on a motor. Which in her eyes I all ready had b4 it went kapoommm, lmao.

She is weird about spending money on something that's all ready there and not broke.
Nitrous, turbo etc she does not care about.
