I get around 19-20 and that is a lot of city driving, though there are stretches were I got 50 - 55 for a couple of miles, but there are stretches where it takes 5 minutes to go 4 blocks.
Highway is 25 - 27, haven't done much of that.
Only mods are BBK Short tube headers and BBK CAI. It's a 2013 Auto and it has 21 K on it.
That said it behaves real well in city driving and the auto shifts quickly. I use the criuse control as much as possible.

I agree. I get anywhere from 13-20. If it's heavy traffic (can be in places) about 14-ish, now, since school is over, and I don't have to wait at stop signs backed up about half the street, or lights that take forever. City is usually anywhere from 16-20

My 5.0 manual never goes below 17mpg in town. If I'm really easy on it, I can squeeze 19-20. Straight highway driving sees about 25-26mpg. Cant really complain about those numbers for cars with this kind of performance.

21-22 around town before tune. With a hypermotive tune 23-24 around town.

I've had three 2011+ 5.0 Mustangs ('11 w/MT82, '12 & '14 w/6r80), approx 100,000 miles across the three, and I can tell you that these engines will return good mileage when you keep the revs to a minimum and mph to the lowest possible average for the traffic/conditions/roads you're on.

The other place these engines drink fuel is at idle. Extending idling anywhere and anytime during your mileage calculation will kill, period.

My average for the manual was about 15 mpg city, 22 mpg highway (75-85mph avg)
My average for the autos was/is about 17 mpg city, 21 mpg highway (75-85mph avg)

If you drive like a grandma in attempt to get good mileage, maintaining speeds between 55-65mph max on the highway, on an extended drive, you can get 27+ mpg, even with 3.73's.

MPG Update

So, I filled up yesterday on my way home from work, travelled 239.7 miles and used 10.8 gallon of 93, for a whopping 22 mpg. Did n't really get on it, as the first ten miles are in city traffic.
No real highway miles yet.

What Mpg are you getting on the street with GT?

It depends on your foot too, I have a 2014 5.0 with a Steeda CAI, steeda 93 street tune, and Bassani axle backs. I average 20 city 0-55mph and about 25 highway 55-75mph

Yeah, I'm closer to 23-24. Don't often see 25+, but I have a few times. 23 is when I'm going about 70-75.

This whole thread is FLAWED

Everyone is not stating their EXACT MPH when on the highway

I just took a 300 mile trip and the numbers are as follows
with 373 gears and 93 octane

55 mph nets 26 mpg
65 mph nets 24 mpg
75 mph nets 22 mpg
and 80 mph nets about 20 mpg

So when you guys say i get such and such mpg
please state your MPH

it definitely effects the end result

If you want to get technical, how long did you go those speeds? As soon as you break those speeds the numbers get skewed a bit. Same goes for the terrain.

70 mph = 24-26
75= 23-24
80= 21-22

Around town it sucks. If I stay off the throttle it's mid teens. I'd say around 17 is average.

2000 round trip from tn to pa and I got 23.4. I went 75 for the first leg to see what I could get. 1st tank was 24.7. After that it was too much of a fun drive.

11k miles tracked and lifetime average on fuelly is 21.8. Ironically it's 2 mpgs less than my 3.7 on the same drive so far.

With 10000 miles on my 14 GT mt I've averaged 22.5. Mix of city and highway. I frequently make 100 mile trips with mostly 55 mph roads and I can average 29-30 mpg. It still shocks me to see 30mpg with 400 HP.

I have been getting between 18-20 combined. 60% highway I would say. I've seen 28-29 on the highways after resetting the MPG calculator.

2013 GT with 6A....if I set the cruise control on 60 mph, I can get 28/29 on the freeway. I don't mind driving that slow, but just hate it the big SUV or 18 wheeler fills up the rear view mirror!!

In town, low 20's for me. But that's taking off from red lights and stop sign very slowly...like pretending to have an egg between your shoe and the pedal.
