What Mpg are you getting on the street with GT?

Decided to start this thread because I have seen some people post that they are getting 20mpg with there GTs in the city (2013-2014) and I am having a hard time just getting 12-15 around town and I baby that peddle!

Car now has 250 miles on it or so and the only mods I am running is the Roush axle back exhaust and a Roush cold air intake. I received the Track Key yesterday but have not had it installed yet. I have seen some people state that it will get better miles when it breaks in more.

Anyways, what mpg are you getting in your 2013-2014 Mustang GT???
No V6 figures.

In 6000 miles I'm averaging ~18-19.

This being Texas though. It's a lot of highway.

What Mpg are you getting on the street with GT?

When I do 80% city with lots of stops I get 17. Highway on long trips I get 24-25. At about 50/50 I get 20-21.

When I average about 5 WOT and heavy foot driving every other day or so I still average 18mpg in 50/50 city/hwy driving.

Even though you baby the peddle you should prbably shift at 2000rpm instead of 4000/5000 lol. Jk

Maybe a video of how you drive with the camera on the tach.

FYI the GT gets the best mpg while driving between 40-55mph or so in sixth gear. People think that babying the peddle to slowly get up to speed is the best way. It's not.

The best way is to get up there quickly but not flooring it (maybe quarter to third throttle) and then cruise on 6th gear.

The longer you stay at a speed that you can average 40-45mpg in the higher the average mpg will be.

Then as you start to come to a stop let the engine brake you and time it so that by the time you reach the light it will have turned green therefore you kept as much speed as possible.

I have 3k miles on my 2104 track pack GT and the first 500 rewarded me with a miserable 12-14 mpg. Things got better after that. 100% city driving now results in 14-15 but 100% highway gets me 24-25. In between it's just a hybrid of those two results depending upon how much highway she sees.

Correct it's in my signature. Auto with 3.15's. But my mileage did suffer a little with the converter. And I drive my car hard.

I average 19.5MPG... So that has to be like 14-16MPG city and 23-25MPG highway... I drive 50/50, city/highway.

I get about 13-20 city, 22-27 highway. Auto, 3:15 gears, sport mode TC, 93 Octane, Depends on how I drive it. Usually am closer to the lower parts of both.

Ok I just turn 10k on my 13 gt with 3.31s, 6 speed. On avg in town I get 15-18 and on all highway miles I get 25-28.5mpg. I just got the 28.5 on my last road trip from NC to KY on bp 93 oct and I was shocked. I did the calculations 4 times.

I'm getting around 18 with a mix of city and highway miles at 1000 miles. I've been driving her like a queen mostly, although I've opened her up on some of the back roads to keep her honest.

Took me 3 seconds to find an 18 page thread on fuel mileage. Maybe I'll go start something new, like an exhaust thread.

Heavy is preferable... Do you know how to wipe it clean when you only have one sheet of TP? Lol

What Mpg are you getting on the street with GT?

I get 16.4 on city and I rarely go on highway. When I do, I can't get my mpg more than 16.7 on cruse control at 75mph so I'm not getting the advertised mpg. I guess I'm still in the break in period.... Got 2k miles with 3.73 gears

Harsh bro. I can't get 16mpg even when I try. For a full tank even when I'm driving in rush hour traffic and flooring it here and there the worst I ever done was 17.2mpg on a full tank.

At the very last 42 miles left of the car I tried doing some 0-60s and quarter mile runs on an industrial road but still got 17.2 lol

Difference is I'm twice your age I guess. With age come mpg lol

Basically, I feel like I'm not stomping on it, but I guess I am.

And I have bad luck with red lights and traffic sometimes.
