Widest rear tire

Ok guys, I'm looking at getting a set of wheels for my 2014 base gt. I want to know how wide I can go with stock suspension. I'm ok with going down to a 15 inch wheel, if I did, would I be able to go 15x10 or wider? Also would I be able to go with a 315 on the back without any rubbing?

A 15"x10" wheel requires sway bar relocation brackets should you go that route.

I have 15X10 wheels with 28X12.5X15 tires on my 2013 GT and there is at least an inch of clearance between the inner sidewall and bump stop brackets. I was running a sway bar relocate kit, but still had a slight clearance problem, so I ended up buying a Strano adjustable rear sway bar. I had the Strano brackets modified and clearance is perfect now.

What about if you have the 19" Brembo wheels? Can I run 275/40/19's or wider? I know the wheels are only 9" but I can't see that Ford offers an optional Brembo wheel in a 10"

The Brembo wheels only come in 9" widths. Ford racing and many other manufacturers offer 10". A 275mm is the widest recommend tire for a 9" wheel.

Thanks, if I did go to 10" wide rim in the rear is a 275 still the widest tire that will fit with no rub issues?

That really depends on if you're lowered and how low. Stock ride height will accommodate a 315 easily.

I put the relocation brackets on (not expensive). And I was able to put the 325/50/15" on my 2014 GT. Went with the MT drag radial. Big tire but it fits nicely.

I have a 2014 with the Brimbo brake package, I was going to go with an 18 inch rim because there are more road racing tire options, and I am told that the 18 inch rim will clear the brakes. I was planning on 18x10 all around with 274-40-18's

anyone see a problem. stock, not lowered.
