Missing gears at high rpm

I have been tracking my 2012 mustang GT a lot more lately than I have in the past. I'm pushing the limits of the car as it was intended. One thing that happens upon occasion is I miss fifth gear due to lock out or I miss downshifting from 5 to 4 and get locked out. This only happens at high rpm and when shifting quickly. I have a Barton short throw shifter with the bracket and this still happens. Has anybody had this problem and what could be done to solve it?

Okay I've researched the braided stainless steel clutch line and the white line transmission mount. What's up with guys drilling out the center of the transmission mount? Is that an attempt to limit NVH?

Slow down you shift. It's not necessary to bang the gears. Run thinner fluid, like red line MTL

Missing gears at high rpm

I had the same exact issue. It's caused by the shifter bracket. Look for the Barton Two Post Shifter Bracket. Solved my problem!!! Look at stock shifter bracket vs. Aftermarket. I can still shift as fast as I want and as hard as I want now that everything else held in place with the better bracket! Click image for larger version
