I bought the Borla's S for $625.00 at marylandspeed.com. I gave them a call 443-730-9428 and asked them for a discount and they did. They are awesome to talk to and fast shipping.

+1 on Maryland Speed. One of the most reasonably priced shops I've found online. Ordered my kooks headers from them.

Got my S-Types new with a 1yr warranty for $420... I think Summit Racing was selling them on their eBay store for $500 and I had eBay coupon which got it down to $420.

So look for deals like that.

Borla is deeper, Roush is just loud, and a little deep. Go with Borla.

I bought my Borla S types used on craigslist. They were a little dirty but I saved a lot compared to new and have been happy with them. I also found a second set of Borla's as well as a set of Bassini's when I was looking so guess it is common to see used exhaust systems.

Is it better to get CB, or AB with some other mid pipe? Or is that personal preference?

Obviously 'UrMaster' is talking ab an axle-back set... He's not selling a single S-Type muffler.

He said he had "A" 3 month old
Borla s-type. He didn't say he had "some" 3 month old
Borla s type(s). So yeah we needed to know if he had one or two. Thanks.

You may have a point there... But what section of the forums are we in? 11-14 GT (one axle-back set = two mufflers). Also, if you do a little research, you'll find that Borla does not sell a single S-Type muffler (only sold in axle-back sets/pairs).

Um yes one borla s-type axel back. Both mufflers... Just as they come brand new. Bolted them on for a few months and took them off. That's what I have.

Well I have a the Borla S-type axleback mufflerS.. They have a great sound.. When the car is colder and you give it WOT at high rpms it has a really crappy sound.. Hard to explain but just wait till it warms up, problem solved, hah.

I came from Flowmaster outlaw axle back mufflers which were a lot louder but I didn't like the sound in general. The S-types are definitely quieter but the sound is 100
% better, imo.... The S types are quiet and idle and quiet at low rpms but after 3500rpms it does get quite a bit louder.. BUT I do miss the low rpm loudness..

Found some Borla Touring ABs on Ebay, lightly used from a guy in AZ - $340.00. Loving them and plenty loud for me.

Are the Ataks loud at idle? I just wanted something deep, doesn't have to be crazy loud. So I thought the s types would do. What do you guys think?

After careful consideration I went with the Touring series. My criterion was 1)I wanted a deep throaty sound 2) I didn't want to piss my neighbors off and 3) being in my 40s I didn't need to sound like a weekend tracker or teenager. I am very happy with the sound. After I put an Airaid CAI under the hood, the combination is not over the top but well said when I accelerate.

Like you sguevara, I also don't need to let everyone know I'm coming. I will probably go with GT500's, but for now I think it's plenty loud with no cats, x-pipe, and no resonators on stock mufflers.
