Running stock engine with boss 302

I have a 2014 Mustang 5.0 and as the title implements I was just wondering if running the boss 302 on my stock engine be a bad call. If so what else could I upgrade to make up for the deficit? I already purchased a boss cold air intake as well and the steeda tuner for it. That's pretty much the only bolt on mod I will be running. Any help in this area would be much appreciated.

I had my eyes on those next my only concern is if you think my stock internals for my engine could handle the bolt-on mods?

Your stock internals will be just fine with bolt ons. I have the BOSS manifold bigger TB jlt cai and full header back off road exhaust. Its tuned and shift points are at 7500 no problems. Others take it even further

Thanks for the info. The only thing that concerns me now is do I really want to void my warranty?

It's a Ford part. I was told by dealer if they install it it won't void warranty but who knows

Also what about installing the tune file that might raise a couple eyebrows.

It helps beyond 7000 that's where the stocker craps out. A bigger tb will also more then make up for the minor loss in tq under the curb too

I had also ordered a ford racing 90mm throttle body which I was planning on returning. So your saying I should keep that to help improve the torque loss?

Return the throttle body.
Boss if used past 7500 and return throttle body.

No it's not. It's a Ford Racing part. Totaly different. Plus it requires a tune.

90 mm is overkill for a stock internal engine

I run an 85mm. You won't see much as far peak gains but you'll pick up around 15 under the curve. Common misconception is its all about your peak hp. Not if u want a good running car. The dyno doesn't lie... Boss with a bigger tb and a nice cai and a tune will definitely wake the car up. Just have to use the rpm.

Dyno graphs show otherwise when paired with the boss intake. Stock vehicle yes I'd agree.

Dyno numbers mean jack squat. A throttle body is not needed for the majority of people out there. Even F/I guys up to a certain point. My recent 11.3 N/A pass is proof the stock throttle body works just fine.

Dyno is a good way so see what power the car is making and what it's capable of. If you want to know if it helps that's how u find out. A stock one does work fine nobody said It doesn't.
