Change Rear Gears or stay with stock?

I have a 2013 GT A6, which I have just installed the Boss 302 intake, Roush CAI, Borla Catback exhaust with X pipe and had it tuned with the X4 from SCT. I have the stock 3:15 gears, would it help to go with 3:73 gears, or would I be wasting my time and money? What should be my next addition to gain more power and lower track times?

I was told you can lose top end speed with higher gears

Keep your stock gearing. Get an upgraded torque converter

I agree with Soccerluvr4 - in an auto, keep the stock gears.

Keep the stock gears and do a converter like I already told you. 3.73's won't do anything for you.

Can the converter be used on a daily driver and what will the converter help with?

No one is "losing top speed" with gears. the car's limited to 145 anyway but, you run out of hp and aerodynamics long before you'll top out the deep O/D on these cars, auto or manual.

Now, I ain't no automatic guy so, I have no skin in the game. The last automatic "performance car" I had was a '74 Trans Am with a 1970 GTO 400 in it. The torque monster didn't care what transmission was behind it or what stall speed the converter had, it could uproot an oak tree off the bottom. On the gear issue v. the converter on this car...I'd say it depends on use. Gears will make the car's relatively lazy low rpm grunt feel a bit more zingy day to day at part throttle but won't likely speed the car up too much in a maximum throttle situation because of the low stall speed of the converter.

That's just my opinion but, I defer to those with direct experience.

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm new to this. If I'm looking to increase acceleration and make the car overall quicker, while still using it as a daily driver, which would be your next upgrade and why?
Converter or longtube headers with catted x pipe. I use the car as a daily driver and will only run at the track once or twice a year at the most, maybe never lol...

Easy. Converter. I've done it all and the converter made the biggest difference.

And I won't have problems with daily driving? What does the converter do and which model would you recommend? Please keep in mind I'm new to this, that's why I'm asking lol!!

I've already answered your question regarding it being a daily driver.

What it will do is make your car accelerate very fast.

Circle D 4C if no F/I is in the plans.

I was thinking about getting a turbo 350 and 4.56 gears. Will this hurt my gas mileage? Should I get an X or H pipe with this? Which one sounds better with this setup? Will this run well on a 400 shot? How much hp can the stock block hold?

Bone stock block will be good for 2,000 but only on jet fuel.
Go with a Y pipe
5.13's and your mpg will be a ok
biggest shop you can run on jet fuel is a 384.5 shot.
Hope this helps

That 0.5 on the shot makes all the difference.

No compstall you don't want the turbo 350. You want the turbo 1999 so when you romp on the gas you will party like its 1999.

Gas??? Fuk gas pour in beer. Not the shiity kind. You gotta pore in the craft beer.

And of course you gotta pull some shots of j├Ąger and 151. That'll rock the shiit outta ur stang.

As far as ur bottom end... Be prepared to have the beer and shot shiits the next day.
