Please fix your post, "a flare 5 to 6 3 h rpm" does not make sense.

Have you checked the transmission fluid level?

I don't think he can, they are sealed I was told when I had a 2013 auto. Take it to the dealer, you have the water problem on passenger side they need to unseal and check your Tranny ASAP

They are not sealed. You check the fluid level with the dipstick. It's there.

If I recall I read it's not under the hood but under the car isn't it

Correct. It's on the side of the transmission.

Wow, I was duped, but I know have a MT-82. Here it is, implying that dealer needs to check it and so I never looked:
http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Fo.../13musom3e.pdf

Page: 240
Note:Transmission fluid should be checked and, if required, added by
an authorized dealer. The automatic transmission does not have a transmission fluid dipstick. However, the fluid level should be checked if the transmission is not working properly, (i.e., if the transmission slips or shifts slowly) or if you
notice some sign of fluid leakage.

They then show you how to check and add fluid to a manual transmission which is via a witness hole, but the auto does have a "Hidden" dipstick?

Mine does the same thing, stock tune. I took it in and they said it only did it once during their test drive, when they were going slow.I told them (before hand as well) that is when it did it except all of the time. They said they would email Ford about it but there are no TSB's on it so they will not look into it.

It DID NOT do this for the first 5,000 miles and only has 10,000 on it now. At least I have it documented.

I say take it in and have the dealership contact Ford. There may be in issue, even if it's a reprogramming of the slug shift automatic we have.

I'm sure Ford does it in such a way so as to not have the average person checking and adding fluid to the auto transmission. Which is also why most do come sealed from the factory now. The 6R80 is mighty expensive and they don't want to have to replace them unless it's absolutely necessary.

Yes GB; that makes since and is why I was told by others the 6R80 was sealed when I had one. But I am concerned about truth; that the factory says it has no dipstick when it does (they could have just left that line out of the manual) when indeed it has a hidden one. Meanwhile they show how to do a difficult manual transmission fluid check or fill that has no dipstick at all, just a witness hole

[and I hear of folks changing the MT-82 oil to cure their notchy problems are being told changing it them selves to other oil voids the MT-82 warranty]
