Halo Project

I'm thinking about putting halos instead of fog lights just like the Need For Speed movie. Has anyone done anything similar? I'm planning on having it hollow but I worry that the lifespan of the halo will be short without a housing.

There is a similar post in the v6 section
Fog Light Grille Oracles
I'm planning on doing it once my GT grille and my halos come in sometime next week. I also made a cheap mod which is painted black mesh for the fog deletes and am going to put them there like many boss 302 grilles. Only thing that I feel would be weird is having v6 fog lights halos and headlights lol. I'll let you know about the install and how it works but I'll be posting on the other post.

Any tips on the wiring? Also I was wondering if anyone had done it without putting them in the actual fog lights light in the movie. My GT grille i bought doesn't seem to have the fog light mount brackets so does anyone have tips on how I could mount them considering I'm doing a mesh background for a foglight delete? So far Silicone II seems like my best bet but that seems... sketch.

We have headlight and foglight Oracle Dual Halo's. Instead of sawing the fogs like their video, I put them in the oven and took them apart like we will do with the headlights. We will be taking the front end off this weekend and doing the install of both the fogs and headlights. Got the keyring controller that has all the functions that are pretty cool. The breath mode being the best. Install is pretty easy. You put your light in the oven for about 10m and it pulls apart fairly well. (The fogs did anyway) We tested everything with a 12v battery. The wiring on the duals was confusing as Oracle doesnt give very clear directions on wiring. (Duals have one red and two black grounds) With the keyring controller, you can activate the fogs or headlights by themselves, both sets together and MANY different patterns. I will do a video of the system after we install it this weekend.

Has anybody ever turned the fog lights into intakes with halos? Is that even possible?

Yep, pretty badass to get the halo look and the extra air into the engine bay.

Yeah I just have to get the wiring down and it will look amazing. I'm not too sure which wires to tap into to have it on with the running lights. But they do look awesome when on.

If you use Oracle halos with the keyless remote, you only need to wire to the post in the end of the fuse box in your engine bay. Ground to a ground and the controller runs the wire to the lights. All the switching is done with the remote. 5 min job.

Are you worried about the weather getting to the halos? Do you think a car wash would short out the lights?

Just seal up the back end with some black silicone and ensure the wires are tucked shrink wrapped and safe. Plus the fronts are self contained essentially weather/water proof but not rock proof :/
