So far so good

So today I was able to get the car tinted as well as the side marker lights and the third brake light. I also
installed the matte black 5.0 badges. Let me know what you guys think. I should have my exhaust on by Friday.

Is it window tint on the side markers or is it the spray tint? Also how did you get the stock 5.0 badges off or did you just plasti-dip them?

The side marker tint I ordered off ebay as a kit it was 14.99 shipped for all 5 pieces. The badges I used dental floss and a plastic putty knife to get it off. And I used the new black 5.0 badges from American muscle $28.00 for the pair.

Also I used masking tape to mark where the badges were so they would line up with the holes correctly as the new badges do not have the pegs to line up.

I did all the same to my deep impact blue. The old adhesive on the badges were ridiculously harder then it needed to be. The tint on all the lights looks really good though!!

Thanks. Funny you mention the adhesive. The passenger side was insanely hard to get off while the driver side came off with ease. It's almost like it was two kinda of tape or one side sat in the sun longer than the other.

I experienced the same thing. The drivers side took 10 minutes and the pass side took more like 45 min!!! I don't know why they did that

Tinted side markers change the whole look. And that's weird how one side is so much worse then the other.

Can you post the link to the eBay seller you used for the side marker tints?

I was going to see if a local shop that does tinting could fix it, I usually screw that stuff up!

I suspect it'd be about the same. Bought the car used and the wife is bugging me to get it fixed. Dealer is giving me free oil change and I'll ask them to address it, but I got a felling they're going to tell me where to go and what to do there!

Depending on how long ago you bought the car. But either way I would go crazy if I had messed up tint but I'm pretty OCD about stuff

There is like a 1 inch tear in it, surprisingly it doesn't bother me all that much!

Don't pay anyone to remove your tint. It's extremely easy.. I did it myself on a mach 1 with a fabric steamer similar to this but mine was more of just a handheld one with no tube and it took me about 15 mins.

Looks great. I agree with Rynarok that dark wheels would really set it off.
