Bama tune just installed

Hey fellas I just got my SCT X4 with my 3 pre loaded tunes in the mail. I updated the firmware then flashed the computer and took her for a ride. I used the 89 oct tune because thats what gas i had in the tank So far im happy and i hope that doesn't change. My shifts are nice a firm and it breaks the tires loose at the end of 1st gear and when switching to 2nd. Traction is now going to be the issue but im ok with that. Im ready for all the Bama hatters to chime in and if you must then flame bama and flame me for being happy with my first impression. In the future i will have mutiple tunes from other big names out there and comapire. Any recommendations on some tires for a 19inch rim? seems like slim pickings.

Bama is notorious for there mountain top peaks. Some worse than the others.

Alex said he was going to fix his, I'm verry curious to see it.

#'s nothing to worry about but the dips and such need to be worked out.

Like with anything in this world there is always someone who does it better, faster and stronger. For me going from stock to a tune feels good. Maybe going from Bama to AED or Lund will be even better. Im sure ill give one of them a try. But right now i need to learn how to launch this thing because it breaks loose and shifts to 2nd way to early. Im sure tires are going to be in the near future.

Just to be clear I do enjoy my bama tune and it feels faster. Were just trying to clear up some tuning issue ls and make it better. Enjoy your new power!

I have the factory 19 inch wheels so i am going to guess they are 8 inch wide. I would like to get a good set of tires for the 19s and then next summer get some racestar 15 inch wheels. Yes i am also lowered on Eibach pro street S coil overs. my next mod will be the LCA. maybe even this week. how much will the lowers help?

They will help alot when paired with a uca as well.

Go with mickey Thompson street comps.

Are the 19'' wheels x8 or x9? I always thought x9 but don't quote me.. Keep this thread updated when and if you do the 93 octane tune...

Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad to hear your Mustang is a monster now and blowing the tires off. That's a great first impression! Once you fill up with 93 and load the 93Race tune I think you're going to fall in love all over again!

There's not many tire options for the 19" Rim's. Are you looking to stay with Street Tires or switch over to a radial? I would look into tires like the Nitto NT555 or NT555R, Mickey Thompson Street Comp or ET Street etc.. Last but not least, look into some suspension! Upper/Lower control arms will help you through the weight back and utilize your current power level.

Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future.

Well I took the car out and raced a few cars and got beat by both cars . evo 10 and a Honda s2000 that's supercharged. I need tires so I can get out of the hole much better. here is a video of the s2000 and 5.0.

HAHAHA this is just the 89oct tune. If I can launch this thing with out spinning the end of 1st I can make him play a harder game a catch up. His top end clearly got me but also know that I had a 1/2 tank, and my mustang is just as it left the dealer, spare, jack etc. And this all took place in Mexico lol
