Best Oil?

What oil are you guys using? I just bought a 2013 GT with less than 6,000 miles and I'm wanting to start things off on the right foot. I've always heard Royal Purple is good. I have always used Pennzoil in the past.

Search. Function. Several threads on this. AMSoil and Royal Purple seem to be the most popular. I run Royal Purple myself. Noticed a lot less oil in my passenger catch can switching from MotorCRAP to Royal purple. Car felt smoother too

Oh snap. Another oil thread. Sweet. I personally love them so lets talk oil bro. First off, how are you using your stang? Are you track racing or 1/4 mile drag racing?

Royal Purple is awesone oil. A base IV full synthetic oil and a bit higher priced than other synthetic oils. I personally use Super Tech Fully synthetic oil sold at Wal-Mart. Its a base III synthetic oil and its under 18 dollars for 5 quarts. Great price for good quality oil thats equal to the other base III synthetic oils. Is Royal Purple better oil, OH HECK YEAH but not needed for how I operate my pony.

I don't track race or 1/4 mile drag race my pony. I drive around 10K miles a year and that's mainly to Wal-Mart and doctor appointments.

Well I'm not going to the track or actually quarter mile races. It's my daily driver but I drive it hard on occasion for fun on the road. I have't heard much of AMSoil in the past. I have definitely been leaning towards Royal Purple.

I don't believe RP is a group 4 anymore. Pretty sure they changed the formula. 10w30 amsoil if you live where it's hot and 5w30 or 0w if you drive in cold.

I think Royal Purple is just fine for a daily driver.

I will be driving it in hot and cold conditions regularly. Also I got another question. What spark plugs are you guys using? Or did you just keep the stock ones?

Leave in the stock plugs.

Look at the search function on other very, very popular mods such as CAI, exhaust, or tuners.

This guy was using Safeway special, I watched him do it. Still see him around my neighborhood from time to time.
