Tuners in Mass

Hey guys. Anyone live in the Massachusetts area? I've never really been too interested in using hand held tuners I've always gotten my cars custom tuned/dyno tuned but haven't heard much talk of people in Mass who tune mustangs. Anyone here have any suggestions or can point me in the right direction? Just planning for future ideas. Thank you.

My suggestion is to skip the dyno tune since it isn't necessary and get a tune from a reputable company. You will still need a hand held tuner regardless.

No one car is exactly the same regardless of if you have the same mods. Throwing the car on the dyno and getting consistent pulls or driving around with someone tuning the car doing constant logging is far more effective than sending a company my mod list and them giving me back the basic tune they use when those mods are on that car. I'd rather have someone that can look at my car in person if there's problems rather than go back and forth with someone over the phone or by email if problems occur. Just like a previous thread OP is trying to do. Just one less step and one less headache and from experience I've found it to be much more effective in the long run.

I'm also from mass my friend and there a few good shops around the area. What area are you from? I would recommend going to a good dyno shop and see what they recommend.

That's not to far from me I'm in Taunton. There is dez racing in seekonk, and mpe racing right in Taunton. If you have a Facebook, I would recommend joining mustang of mass and masshole mustangs and there is no more. And asking around there, should be plenty of people on there to find something local to you

You couldn't be more wrong. Tuning on the street via data logs is the way to go now.

Tuners in Mass

I've become part of MoM, and a few others. I'm curious to know the most reputable tuner in the MA area though.

I come from tuning subarus so that's a whole different ball game going out to EFI Logics out in CT. I'd go back out there but they specialize in FI imports (STi's, evo's, GTR's). I want a mustang specialist preferably with a mustang dyno and not a dyno jet or dyna packs.

The mpe racing place in Taunton looks good live close and pass it all the time and they always have mustangs out side. And there actually selling a 5.0. The dez racing have heard many good things about them. My friend with a stage 3 roush went there and got it tuned and cams installed and the car runs mint.

Dez is the only place I've really heard of. Good hear others have heard that same thing. I too come from subarus I recently sold my third. Two wrx's and an Sti. Got tired of it. Time for something new and ready to learn.

We just passed the 2 year anniversary of the passing of Chris SK, former owner and the one that started EFI Logics.

I know brother he was a great tuner and known throughout pretty much the east coast. I followed him since he was at XXtuning many many moons ago. I had a great tune on my car, done personally by him, then I sold it, some nitwit bought it and turned up the boost. Kaboom.

XX Tuning. Those were the good old days. My Mach 1 there right after my rare build and tuning was done. Chris was a close friend of mine.

Wow. What a build....yeah Chris was a great dude. Loved and missed by many. Wouldn't hesitate to go back to EFI but I'd rather a mustang specific shop. But I'd like to be dyno'd on a mustang dyno as well for the lowest numbers haha

No worries Grabber. I know some people like to bust balls, hard to tell over the internet. But yeah definitly seems like the way to go and your right ill probably get a hand held tuner to have and load the maps into rather than just have one map loaded directly to the car. Seems like there's a few quality shops in the area so that's a plus too.
