Barton Two-post Shifter Bracket

So I ordered the Barton two-post shifter bracket from AM last week and installed it last night. Other than having to climb under my car with my dinky little 2-ton jack (I really need to replace it - it only gets me about 15 inches under the car) it was a very easy install. I'm still using the stock shifter.

The difference in my experience driving today was pretty noticeable. Despite having the same stock shifter, the bracket really does make a difference. The shifts feel shorter (I'm sure that's an illusion) and shifting overall feels much smoother. I think it's worth saying that the stock shifter isn't half bad once you get rid of that crappy, rubber clamp.

I may end up getting the Barton short shifter eventually, but with the bracket I feel like I can spend the $250 or so cost of the shifter on other mods for now.

So if any of you are on the fence about getting the bracket with the stock shifter, I'd say it's definitely worth it.

Get the MGW and don't look back. Installed mine yesterday and I really don't want to stop driving

you'll be even happier once you add the Barton shifter, I'm sure the MGW is a great piece, heck I've tossed over selling my Barton shifter and 2 post bracket, but decided against it, I couldn't be happier with the shifting the Barton offers.
