One more thing, I started a post on here when I first bought my car titled, "That Old School Sound" trying to find out how I could achieve this. I now have that and more. Love the smell of the exhaust now that the cats are out. Reminds me of my grandpa's HotRod when I was a kid.

The mod bug always bites hard on these cars but, it is a bit unfair to directly compare the 91 octane, full cat, emmission compliant procal to a tune designed around catless exhaust. A good dose if your new jump us from that, too.

The amount of additional spark timing along with TIVCT adjustment is where the better tuners (with datalogging) can make more power versus a procal or canned tune. And this once again is determined by the type and quality of fuel you are able to get.

The mod bug definitely bit the hell out of me. I wasn't really comparing the two as there is really no comparison. I am just telling you my experience and that I wish I would have gone straight to the AED tune. If you are looking for a VERY mild tune to fix throttle response, diagnose your car over time and check codes then the Ford tune is for you. Keep in mind you go back to the manufacturer warranty regardless of if you purchased extended, on the mechanical components that is. If you want to get the most out of your engine, which you will at some point after buying the Ford tune, go with a SCT tuner. But it was a fun experience regardless and glad I now know what each is about.
