Ford Dealership Abuse - Video

I forgot if I saw this video on this forum or another but I thought I would share it.
Extremely disappointing, I originally thought I would take my GT to a dealership because this kind of stuff would be less likely to happen than at a local auto shop, guess not.

I plan on putting cameras in my car when I take it for service now...
I have plenty of GoPros sitting around lol

It's been posted, the dealer got caught and they initially agreed to do what the guy wanted to fix the situation, but after 2 months of back and forth, they lied, so now he got a lawyer handling this.

we do this to the shop trucks. They never leave the yard so after a while someone needs to take them out on the highway for a good burn to get all the carbon and crap cleared out.
This situation is completely unacceptable and un professional.
People think if they drive there cars slow and only drive them on sunny days that they are doing a good thing. When in reality you need to drive your car or you will end up with issues.

Thank God their Facebook, Google+, and Yelp are all taking big hits (I gave them 1 star on Google+ with a link to the video in my review). F*cking scumbags. Let's hope that guy puts ads on that video and starts making money to either get his car fixed or sue those mf'ers.

I would like to know what it was in the shop for. Could be it was missing out at higher speeds and the mechanics needed to run it up. Don't see any abuse. If the car can't take a few rmps, time to get another one.

But they weren't at higher speeds. They were at redline in first gear for several minutes straight. That's just plain stupid.

Imma need you to watch the video again. It has subtitles but it might be more helpful to turn the volume up.

It says has a tick just above idle. No need to run it at redline. Someone would get there *** beat if that was my car

Ok then, you go run your car at redline in first gear for 8 minutes and tell us what happens.

I see a problem with this! There's no way the Ford factory repair manual will ever state that a repair tech takes a car out and "redlines" it in first gear to resolve a problem. That reason alone is good enough for me to see that this technition recieves his/her walking papers from that job.

That is, if there's any truth to this whole situation.

Some of these comments make me wonder if some of these people even watched the video. I'm new to mustangs, just got a 14 gt two weeks ago. But some of these comments make me wonder if some of you should even own a sports car.

this isnt funny, if you are on this forum you should aid us in this.

you may not understand because you do not own a car that produces a desirable 420hp, but when i take my car in i do not want to have to worry about this disgusting ****!

Wow... Please watch the video again and try reading the captions. And just under what circumstance is redlining the car continuously for 5 minutes or 5 miles something you should be doing?

And what's rmps?

TooYoung is just TooDumb to realize that its not just the motor at play when you rev your motor to redline in low gears. The redlining of the motor in low gearing can cook the transmission fluid and toast the whole transmission.

He just got his GT 2 weeks ago after having burned the clutch, melted a piston, shattered his transmission, and drove his other 10 "sports cars" into a ditch.

That's why he had to buy a new car

I think he is referring to the fact that some people posting saw no problem with the way the car was abused in the video. I think he also believes the way the car was treated was wrong and not the proper way to fix a car. He's thinking that if you believe treating a car this way is ok, then you shouldn't own one. At least, that was my take in his post.

How do you know it wasn't? I can hear the engine revving and on my car whine of the engine above 5500-6000 sounds just like that. This is at least what it was revved at. Are you deaf as well as blind and stupid?

You're arguing a point that its ok for the dealer to rev your motor that high over that long a time. I dare you to go rev your car that high in first or second gear for like 8-10 minutes.

The motor is spinning the first or second gear for so long that you can burn the fluid. As in overheat the transmission. In higher gears the gears aren't moving quite as fast even with the engine revving higher.

And if anything that would burn your clutch more than your fluid just because its the engine is spinning at 7k+ doesn't mean the transmission is.
