Single Turbo or supercharger.

As the title states which I the best option for the automatic 5.0.

I want to know the cheapest route to the most exspensive and keep in mind I already have a tuner and I know this isn't cheap to do it right.

So let the talk begin from those who are boosted

I used to have a 2004 ford lightning, so I have knowledge on super chargers.

A centri is cheapest (Paxton, Vortech, Procharger), followed by positive displacement (TVS, Roush, Whipple) and then turbo - single, twin being the most $$$. The next question becomes how much do you want to spend and where to you want your powerband?

Research is your friend...

Depends on your goals. Paxton if you want over 700. Vortech if you are looking at up to 700,

D1 procharger = to Paxton
P1 procharger = to vortech

They are made by the same company. If you plan on going BIG as in >700+rwhp, the Paxton is a better fit, if <700rwhp the Vortech is more effeicient in that range. No experience with ProCharger, but not a fan of their intake setup at all.

I just wanna run 500-550 to the wheels on a stock motor and transmission for as long as I have the car. Don't wanna have to worry about tearing the car up. I just don't know which kit to buy. Do u recommend the roushcharger maybe for those goals?

Get the "Beefcake Special" and you will EASILY meet your goals, your dad and you could install it on the weekend and it makes your car a new experience all over with the new power. For your goals, you can do everything for under 6k completely tuned and installed with the Vortech V3 kit.

If your goals are only 500-550 think you will be alot happier with the roush tvs.

Happiness is a choice......

Two things that our setup does that adds to the cool factor is the big Tial BOV and what this car does in WOT shifts.
1) Nothing like pulling up on someone or driving by people and letting off the throttle to see EVERYONE look at you and your car when the BOV releases.......people look like WTF! I have seen people jump back on sidewalks.
2) Got to get some exhaust vid at night because at WOT upon completing a shift, you get an instant shotgun pop. She has got to be making some fire out the back end. Anyhow, it sounds badass hitting your shifts

ProCharger i-1 system
5.0 Mustang Supercharger Kits

- most expensive kit at this time
- variable internal drive ratio
- quiet as a turbo without the lag
- electronically tune-able boost pressure
- custom boost programs, including valet-mode
- eliminates low rpm power deficiency of a traditional centri supercharger
- air-to-air inter-cooler for more consistent performance
- eliminates heat soak issues from roots blowers
- easier to install compared to a roots blower

Only thing I don't like about this kit is the cost. Here are some videos.
