RWHP and RWTQ estimates

I have a 2012 5.0 6 speed. I'm going next week to have Brenspeed install long tubes with an off road x pipe along with a tune. Just curious as what I can expect to the wheels over baseline. Thanks

Around 400rwhp 385rwtq with Full Exhaust and a Tune, added a CAI and gain +15hp with retuning your car.

So a CAI would be worth 15 rwhp? I am aware of all the arguments about CAI on these cars but don't know which way to go. I want all the power I can get from bolt ons

CAI only is useless with no tune, but a tune vs the stock air box gain about 15-20hp and adding a CAI with a retune of that's adds 10-15hp more so your looking at 25-40hp with a CAI and tune

No you won't get 15 horsepower from a CAI. And anyone that says that is full of it.

That's what I hear more often then not. So in your opinion would it be beneficial with the setup I will have at that point?

Not at all. Now if you prefer the "look" of one then get one. But don't expect to see any real gains from it.

That's crazy because I do read more that people do not think they do much of anything. And I'm not asking if they are "worth" it I just want to know if they add horsepower over stock.

You should gain about 15 with headers and x pipe plus another 10-15 with tune. CAI is more for looks it will you gains but it won't be felt much in the butt dyno. The reason people feel they have a huge gain is due to the tune they add with it.

Yes you add horsepower but not more than 10 if that.

Thank you. I personally don't care about having it for looks. I just want to be sure I have all the basic power adding bolt on's in mind. What else would be good besides full exhaust and a tune? I'm going to brenspeed next week and want to make sure there's nothing else I want to add right now.

I wouldn't add anything else. Your plan for what you're doing will be just fine.

LOL I stand corrected as well. When adding a blower at the end of a CAI anything is possible.

Lethal put up a video today of their ORX and H pipe today on the dyno with a Lund tune of each and then with an air raid CAI and it only made 7 more HP each time

Air raid isn't good I think, steeda is one of the best, cause they use the vent induction from the stock airbox.

My car made 427rwhp/400rwtg with JLT intake, o/r/x, and AED dyno tune. It's a 2011 mustang gt cs M6. Good luck!

Your numbers are all over the place. You're saying 25-40whp and you gain 15whp by adding a CAI after the tune and you also said you gained 35whp with tune and CAI only.

So with the stock air box you gained only 20whp from the tune? You don't have an exhaust? If according to your sterling gray mustang video you gain 50whp NOT including the tune then you should be dynoing like 70whp above stock with CAI, catback exhaust, and tune. That puts you like at 365-370whp(bone stock) + 70 = 435-440whp.

You got your dyno sheet? Also try looking at the product below. For $70 or so I think it will add like another 25whp........

I also have an ocean front property in Arizona that I'll sell to you for dirt cheap. If you buy that I'll throw the Golden Gate in for free.

Dude... if you have a CAI and a JDM V-Tech sticker thats like another 200hp.
A shocker or "car will scrape" sticker will get you another 75hp easy.
