New Hood 2014 GT

Mustang GT Hoods, 13-14 Mustang Stalker Hood - Cervini's

Thinking about buying this hood pre painted OEM Black just asking for general opinions is all. I will have to get it striped to match as well once I have it in hand.

I've always thought the stalker hood was one of the best aftermarket hoods for the mustang. I don't think I have seen it with your stripe pattern though. Should be nice

I would like to get that hood, but 1, I don't have the money, and 2, it's like 15 pounds heavier than stock.

I had the stalker 2 in my 2012 and I loved it. It was really good quality.

It looks like it doesn't offer the option of pre painted.

It should, unless they took down that option since the last time I checked.

Thanks for all the input I am weighing my options now as to where to spend the $$ I think a black hood is going to be in my future with a couple other small things.

Dang it! My wife might notice this mod, so I'll have to ask permission....

P.S. Is there a market for stock GT hoods?

Market for anything, probably won't get much for it though. I probably will keep mine because it's the lightest. I like the stalker hood, but not enough for the $1100 price with the red candy paint and black vents... and it's probably 15 pounds heavier than the stock hood.

Some companies that make hoods do not build them fr proper crush points. AKA, Ford builds theirs to crush- does this company keep the same crumble points, or will it be forced back into the car and decapitate you? I'd inquire about crash testing, and just for safe measure put that email in a safe place in case anything happens.
