yeah I realize, hence why I said it'd probably be a reason to avoid the intune, they'll lose lots of customers if they don't find a way to send you a recovery file like SCT does

I was reading on there forums that when this happens. Its standard procedure to do this. Wish I could just get a file. But the in tune thinks it already installed the backup file to my car. Some were along the install it dumped my backup.

It resets the key strokes in the ECM. Every tuner leaves a trace, I don't care what they claim.

that may be true, but when/if you have an issue and need warranty work, you'll return to stock no? THAT will reset the key strokes.........warranty denied sir, "your tune caused that #8 failure" at any rate I think it's all just marketing bull**** to get people to buy their tuner, as said numerous times, Ford knows man, they know, their engineers are smarter than the folks at Diablo and SCT when it comes to the inner workings of their ecms

Wow that blew up.
Every time u tune it save the key strokes and returns it back all that is shown is a battery disconnect. My car has been in for warranty work and they asked if it was tuned becuaze of all my battery disconnects. Told them no that I was working on a stereo.

It dosent reset key strokes. It returns them back to original number.

The dealer wont generally see anything but battery disconnects just like I can see. If you blow a motor, Fords goign to ask for the ECU or at least a ECU download of the black box. Ford Also keep track of OverSpeed and OverRev events. So if you get a tune that moves your limiters and go past the stock one, the ECU will see that as an over-event stored in the black box. max Gs are also kept.

No just said that it was restored ecu and updated intune. Don't know why they would update it cuase there was the most up to date update on it.

Thanks for your service to this country, very seriously. My best advise is to trade the Diablo for a SCT 3. My first tuner on my V6 was that In-tune. AM was very nice and traded me for a SCT when I had bad tune issues with it that folks with the the SCT did not have.
