Suspension Warranty Void

I spoke with my Service representative from Ford about adding lowering springs, struts and shocks and he stated that if I added these aftermarket parts onto my car (even if they are ford racing) that my entire suspension warranty will automatically void.

not true I registered my FRPP struts with Ford when they got installed and they are 100% covered.

I installed Tokico D-specs on my 2011 Mustang and started experiencing clunking in the front end, but Ford still replaced both Front Control Arms without a problem. They said the installation of the Tokico's could not have caused the control arm issue, so replacing wasn't an issue.

As usual, most dealers should try to explain why any said aftermarket part caused the related warranty claim to be denied. You don't simply "void" a entire suspension warranty due to shocks and springs. If I had a problem, I would probably re-install the OE parts and then have an them make an untainted, unbiased, review of the problem for warranty review. It is too easy for them to "blame" the problem on the aftermarket part.

Can an aftermarket lowered suspension throw any codes or cause the traction control light to come on?

I doubt that would happen unless they were installed wrong and were actually causing loss of traction

Yea, I was told the same thing. I even asked if they installed it if that would help.
They told me no it didn't matter who did it. I walked away thinking.. That is really stupid..
Loss of sale for Ford and the Dealership..

Its not a true/false thing though. Each dealership is different when it comes to warranty work, from my understanding.
