I'd say that definitively says that Steeda makes safer tunes. ..
The stock Ford tune has dropped #8's, that is well documented.

Because there is a flaw in the stock tune in certain circumstances.

On the 11 and 12's. Haven't heard that for the 13 and 14's

I can't speak for others but with my Steeda tune, I've gone from averaging ~19mpg to around 20.5mpg. I've also moved twice since owning the car, so its hard to say if that is a large influence - though on average, i'd say my driving hasn't changed too much. I have heard others with various tunes getting 2-3mpg more. If you are seeing your MPG go down, something is probably wrong with the tune.

I have the automatic gt and I did a Lund tune recently. It's not a huge difference if any at all. Probably 1 -2 mpg just highway. But you'll want to be on the gas peddle more so it will probably go down!!

What circumstances?
Someone on another forum just blew up a 6000 mile '14, though it was not a #8 problem, dead stock.

Man, that sucks.

What I want to know, is what "circumstances" in the stock tune could cause the motor to blow.

Bc the stock tune that comes with the 11-14 gt runs dangerously lean in the high rpms.

Now that you mention it, I've noticed that on the AFR meter, also why I don't take it to high rpm's very often...
