Naples that does look great man. Good job. I'll be dropping her off on Monday to get this thing painted. I originally was going to do it body color, but now everyone and their mother says keep it gloss black lol

Dude trust me...Paint it white. That way you don't have to worry about taping it ect...it'll look much cleaner white.

The edges don't extend the length of the trunk lid, paint, etc. Fitment in general kinda blows. I've been following a dude who did it in white....I don't know I'm on the fence lol.

Are you going to slap the pony emblem on it too or leave it plain?

I think I'm going to leave it. I like the smoothed look.

I like the black just because it connects the tail lights together.

All white looks a little too white in my opinion but that's just me. Maybe white with a black decal somewhere in there to balance it out.

It would be something you don't see every day. I like it, but at the same time it looks to plain for me; I wouldn't do it on mine though. I would try doing something back there so it won't look to plain. New rear spoiler maybe? I say if you like it go for it! Your money, your stang, your preferences! F the others who don't like this lol

Agreed. That and the rear could use some more contrast. Too much blank space.

How did you get that point emblem to stick. Looks really good man. I took out the pony emblem from my stock grille and noticed it might take quite a bit of 3m tape to stick since it is caved in on the back side

Points taken boys...see I think the black looks kinda dull and boring. The white stands out an actually looks like a modification was put in place instead of removing an emblem...I don't know. I'll have to mull it over, over the weekend lol. I'm leaning towards white myself just to be a little different.

White with the pony emblem or a decal of some sort to break up all the white space would look really good imo if you're going to paint it white.

Maybe a matte black pony emblem? I think that would look good.

Yep that would be good. I like the way Naples did his. A matte black actual emblem would look great on a white background and you'd have the three dimensions of the actual emblem.

Barring that, the vinyl decal would be a good alternative.

Yes sir it is. I kind of like people not knowing now from behind. Until either I romp on it or you get along side me to see the emblems lol.

I was gonna go the vinyl decal route to begin with, at least. Thought about getting a lime green pony to put in the back that would match the current lime green RTR stripes I recently put on my car. If I don't like it, I can easily peel it off. For $5-10 to have it custom made and then test it sounds good to me.

Interested in knowing Naples steps to putting that pony on.

Die I think a lime green pony would be sweet. I wanted to throw in some lime green accents on my car but I haven't yet. I even contemplated getting some RTR wheels and powder coating them lime green. Then I would have to do the decklid lime green lol.

I have that currently when people see my car from the front It's a v6. With the roush upper/lower and the gt500 spoiler (without seeing the tribar pony faux cap) people always ask me if it's a V8. Then they see my Borla tips and ask me again. Then ask me to start it up and they're like damn... sounds like one too! (this coming from mustang enthusiasts too).

Can't wait to be completely stealth mode with the decklid.

I am as well. I would assume one of two ways. 1) drilling holes for the pegs on the back and plugging it right in. Or 2) Shave the pegs and apply 3M tape or emblem adhesive to the back and lining it up and sticking it.

I took a picture of my emblem. I decided to keep it when I swapped grilles.

Iv got a cobra r hood and Roush upper and lower. I just need Roush chin spoiler, cs fogs, some wheels, rtr decklid, boss diffuser, Gt500 rear spoiler and I'm thinking the mmd rear window louves. So I guess I still have a little to go

All sounds very tasteful. I gotta get off the aesthetic's kick and start putting some power into this pony lol
