I have a Airaid intake with boss 302 manifold/84.5 mm TB. I like the Airaid. Ran it with the insert in no tune, no problem. Now with tune no insert. Good A/F readings.

I have it and compared to the JLT it's a much better quality product. The reviews support my theory as well. However, it should be known that there's nothing wrong with the JLT it's been on a million very fast cars.

Hmmmm. The only reason I was going to go with jlt was it put down 300 with a tune. Maybe I should go airaid again

If you want to read about how CAI's really work and why others may not be up to par read this link:

That's what I'm leaning toward. I looked at the HP gains that American muscle have dynoed with their top three on the site. JLT, Air Raid and there was one other.

JLT had best gains from the three they show dynoed but air raid was only a few HP behind it.

Everyone I keep reading says air raid has a loud induction which is why I choose it. We shall see.

When I was choosing a cold air, I did a bunch of research and talked to some competent builders. Both shops pushed for JLT as it made more power and was cheaper. My problem with it is the flimsy box (that's not really a box) which doesn't seem to seal well to the hood area according to reviews. Price really meant nothing as I'm not really on a budget. I wanted something that could have passed for factory. The Airraid is such a nicely constructed piece and has a great seal that conforms to the hood to keep it sealed. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

I think the box is a lot more important on the new mustangs. Don't they kind of angle back towards the engine? I wasn't too worried about the box for that reason

I do see most people buying the steeda one. Now that I want one, I can't seem to find a used one at a reasonable price but when I wasn't looking there were tons and tons of them out there.
