Tested aluminum driveshaft at the track

I promised to report back after the install of my aluminum DS. Car was perfectly smooth . Made 11 passes over 2 days. However absolutely no decrease in ET. Was very disappointed in that, and surprised. Oh well.

Sucks to hear, but I wouldn't expect any reduction in et from the ds personally.. Been down that road before in an f-body...

Both are smooth and vibration free.

Would you say it was worth the money even without a decreased ET?

Yes as I like to bracket race and the 1pc (I believe ) is safer.

If I remember correctly the DSS is 20 lbs lighter than stock, and the shaft masters is 19 lbs lighter than stock.

One of the top mods on my list! I'm just hoping the install will go smooth.

What a lot of people seem to forget as they add these expensive parts to their cars in hopes of faster times is their seat time behind the wheel. The more drag strip runs you make in the same car you will usually (especially manual) get faster with no other things being changed. It's called learning curve. I mean the markup in these aftermarket parts is horrible. $800 for a single piece DS...come on. What about axle backs...plain stupid. LOL
