Those of you running in the 9's

I was wondering what your set up was; mods, auto or manual, tires, gear ratio, the type of fuel you use, etc.

im trying to figure if its feasible, both financially and realistically to run upper 9's with forged internals (rods, pistons, oil pump gears etc), a supercharger and 93 pump gas and manual transmition. im thinking this is probably going to cost around 15k to do, and will be a long term project in the making.

It's going to cost alot more than 15k to get in the 9's. Also it's not going to happen on 93 pump

i was worried as much, i see alot of aftermarket sites boasting their mustangs running in the 9's but not many mention the fuel they use. im stuck with 93 octane, so im wondering if its even worth forging my internals to support higher boost. it seems like id be running 10's anyways.

You can run 10's on motor.

Depends on how hardcore you are. You can get there for less money, but you'll be driving a tin can. Rip out the interior, lightweight everything, get the car below 3000lbs, and you can run 9's with less horsepower. But it won't be a fun to drive on the street.

Jpc set the record for NA 5.0 pass. Made 500 at the tires on 100% ethanol. There FTW fuel

Ran 9.96

This was 100% stock sealed motor.
Also weight reduction out the *** only weighs 2,865 lbs

Watch "JPC- 9.96 with Sealed STOCK COYOTE ENGINE in a 20…" on YouTube
