LCA'S

My 13 5.0 is going in on Monday to have the lower control arm bushings replaced. Had to have dealer drive it 3 times before they would replace.. it has 8500 miles on the clock should I have them check anything else while it's apart???

Should cancel the appointment and just buy some aftermarket LCA's with poly's. Cheap investment and won't have to worry about it anymore.

I'm assuming you're talking about the front LCAs?

If that's the case, the latest dealership fix with the heat shield works. At least it did for me when I had it done last summer.

If your rear LCAs are making noise, I'd do what the other poster said and replace them with aftermarket.

It is the front. When I pull the car into the garage it sounds like an old granada when I drive over the hump lol

How sure are you that its the LCA? Are you lowered? Lots of us have the popping sound going over bumps at slow speeds do to the strut tower mounts. Ford replaced mine and within 15 miles they make the same sound that i brought it in for.

No lowering. No popping. It squeaks and has a rubbing sound when going over a speed bump and the lip into my garage. But they had to drive it for a bit to warm it up to replicate the noise
