Sound deadening

Quick question on here.

Has anyone removed the sound deadening under the carpet etc on here yet?

Which route did you go?
Scraper?
Or dry ice?

I haven't done it on a mustang but in high school our auto shop got a 240 for a race car and we used a scraper on the end of a sawzall and it worked pretty good. Also a used a torch for some if the hard to reach places but ours was fully gutted haha

Thanks bud,

I know this isn't a exhaust or CAI thread so 85% of people on here won't be able to relate lmfao.

In my buddy's old foxbody we used putty knives. It took forever though.

I know a guy who used some sort of chemical dissolvent on his F-body - I heard that it made a damn mess, but stripped it pretty well once he rinsed all the crud out.

That sawzall idea is actually pretty great, I've never considered that!

Hmm I never thought about a sawzall. I guess you kind of angle it?

The scraper would take way too long. Also look up an item called a hot blade, it's a razor blade with heat.

Join the corner ponies facebook group. A lot of hardcore racers in there and one guy recently did this to his boss, he may have some insight for you.
