Steeda LCA/UCA's

Hey guys,

Just ordered:
Steeda Mustang "Stop The Hop Pak" (05-14) 5552003 - LatemodelRestoration.com

and

http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...ation-Brackets

and

Mustang Rear Upper Control Arm Mount Black Hammertone (05-10) - LatemodelRestoration.com

Got a great deal at Late Model Restoration, luckily I grabbed 20% off on the steeda stop kid before they took off its discount.

What are your thoughts on these items in terms of quality for my 13 GT?

I spoke with the rep from late model and I needed to buy older Uca mount because the style of the uca requires it

How much should it cost to install everything I purchased?

LCA's & Relocation Bracket, along with UCA's and Mount?

I got my LCA's in today from Steeda and put them on soon after, its not a hard install as long as you have the right tools mainly a torque wrench and a short 18mm socket , the biggest pain is jacking the car up on all 4's otherwise the rear end moves backwards a little when you take the LCA out , as for the UCA I'm going to take it to a friend that has a lift and do it that way since I need to check my pinion angle after. Loved the ride home tonight what a difference they make and feel.

I spoke to our installers & it could just be the increased NVH that is associated with the installed parts.

Every car is different, our installer had these parts installed on his car & he indicated that he experienced the same type of sound.

Best Regards,

TJ

Im glad I jumped on this topic and seen that more people are hearing a louder rear end noise after the install of LCA's. I installed some LCA's by SR performance and a few days later im second guessing my self every time I drive because I swear that each time I take the car out I hear a slight rear end wine. But now that other mustangs with LCA's are talking about the noise it makes me feel much better. I just hit 9800 miles and was about to freak out if my rearend was going out.

It makes sense that the noise would be amplified due to the stiffer bushings and stiffer design of the LCA.

Its more of a road noise type of sound. A slight hummmmmmmm. You really gotta know your car and have the radio off to hear it. But when you do, you start hearing it no matter what.

From my understanding that's just how poly bushings sound.

I don't mind it.

It's gear whine that you couldn't hear with soft bushings. Tubular lcas enhance this as well. My gear whine showed it's face on my previous car with a lca swap. Got the steeda billit lca and it went away. I swear the difference was because of the tubular design on the first lcas. If you hear slight gear whine with lcas, you'll hear massive gear whine with a uca.

3.73 gears tend to whine even from the factory. it's not always normal though, you could have issues with your gears. Broken teeth ect...

That sucks as I was just about to pick up a BMR UCA and mount along with a DSS driveshaft and this thread pretty much confirms that I will hear much more Unwanted noise.
