Pinion seal leak??

Any know issues with '13's? I just had mine replaced at 10,500 along with axel vent. What even causes a pinion seal leak?

My rear was whining like crazy from day one. Blew the pinion seal. Ford replaced the ring n pinion, pinion bearing and seal. ring and pinion were installed wrong. I imagine the friction caused heat, which means higher pressures, which means blown seals.

Ford replaced both no questions asked. But I didn't get a chance to talk to the mechanic about the cause. It just said worn out.

I know there was also an axle vent issue. Never had that so I can't say which years or what the root cause was for it
