2012 Mustang with 05-09 american muscle hood vents

Ok guys, so my friend bought the hood vents from american muscle for his 07 gt and I love the way they look since it resembles the 2013 vents, problem is I looked up vents for my year and I didn't like the size and how they looked. Has anybody ever bought the 05-09 vents and put them on the '11 or '12?

Please don't do it. If you want something different there are many other visual options without those vents on your car. Look at the shaker system. Or a hood scoop. Or a different hood. Or a stripe kit for that matter. You have a nice car just how it is. Might like good, might like bad. But if it looks bad then you just wasted all that time and money. Oh yea. And it's permanent. Unless of course you are willing to just roll around with rectangles cut out of your hood...

Best advice I can give you is to pay a little visit to AmericanMuscle.com and see what they have in exterior mods that are INTENDED for your car.

Even professionally done they have to cut your hood. No turning back at that point.

The 05-09 Hood vents to look great! I think the guys at MMD are looking into making something similar for the 10-12's that won't be as large as the current options out there. I'm not really sure on ETA at this time, though!

Let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance. We'll gladly help!

Good stuff! Our friends over at MMD are always busy working on the next best thing. I'm sure we'll have more information soon and you'll be the first to know!

This is something I would be interested in also. I had the option to replace my hood a few months back but didn't love any of the styles available so I stuck with the stock hood. If the hood vents (heat extractors) were clean and as flush as possible with the hood I would get them.
