Advancetrac problem?

We have a 2012 GT premium with the Brembo package. My wife ran over something that cut the tire and it wasnt able to be repaired so we replaced 2 tires with Continental ExtremeDWs (stock size). They're on the back right now and I just drove it for the first time since the tires were installed. We live in the mountains and heading down the hill today, power would get cut and it felt like various brakes were being applied as well. I wasnt doing any spirited driving at all and the car has never exhibited this behavior before. This happened on just about every corner and mostly at turn in. Also happened on the 10/15 freeway interchange when I was traveling behind other vehicles at typical highway speeds. No illumination on the dash indicating traction control had intervened.

Any ideas on where to even start looking? The tires werent remotely close to losing traction. Tires were installed at Discount and Ford had the car the same week because the windshield washer motor went out. Oil was changed at the same time. Car has 23k miles on it and has been problem free until now.

Could be a difference in tire diameter. Just to eliminate some possibilities turn off the Advancetrac and see if the problem goes away.

Wouldnt a light come on to indicate that it engaged though? I'll turn it off for giggles and see what happens.

I shut off the Advancetrac and it stopped happening so it is definitely the issue, now I just need to figure out the cause. I figure it has to be the tires.

Yea, planned on doing that today. Was going to check out the manufacturers website to see if I could find the OD. It is more aggressive on left hand turns than right which leads me to believe that tire pressure may have something to do with it.

I don't trust the manufactures sites. I know it's a pain but take a flexible tape measure and measure the circumference of each tire to confirm that they are the same.

I used a straight edge across removed tires to compare them when I swapped out tires. I see Charlie mentioned OD B4 I did (so much for my reading skills)
remember burnouts are a good way to remove excess rubber.

It's good time to wax inner sides of rims.

It's not the difference in tire diameter. My fronts are 25.5" and my rears are 27.8" and I have no issues.

Alright, guess I'll take it to the dealer and they can figure it out then.
